Replace the Ink Ribbon Cartridge on Your FN1000 Time Clock

Replacing the ribbon cartridge in your time clock ensures clear, accurate printing on timecards. This guide walks you through the steps to safely remove the old cartridge and install a new one, helping you maintain peak performance and avoid damage.

To replace the ribbon cartridge in your time clock:

1. Remove the front panel with the provided key.
2. Move the Set Switch (under button 1) to the right. The ribbon cartridge will move to the center.
3. As shown in the figure below, pull the ribbon holders toward you and, holding them steady
   in the position, use the handle to take out the cartridge.
4. Insert a new cartridge between the ribbon guide and the printer head.
5. Push the cartridge head until it clicks into place. Turn the knob clockwise to fasten the
   ribbon.
