Schedule: Time Card Report on the MK3000
The MK3000 Schedule report, commonly referred to as the Time Card report, shows how an employee’s actual punches compare to their assigned work schedule.
This report is generated from the employee punch times (clock in/out). It then compares those punches against the employee’s assigned shift to calculate worked hours, lateness, and early departures.
This article covers:
How the Schedule Report Works
The Schedule report is shift-based.
- Each employee must be assigned a shift schedule.
- The system compares the employee’s actual punches to the expected shift times and attendance rules.
- Based on that comparison, it calculates:
- Worked hours
- Overtime hours
- Late minutes
- Leave (early-out) minutes
If an employee is not assigned a shift, their hours will not appear on this report.
For more information on shifts or attendance rules, see:
What the Schedule Shows
Each employee has their own section in the report, followed by daily entries.
Employee Header
At the top of each section, you’ll see:
- Employee ID and Name
- Department
- Assigned Shift
- Report date range
Daily Row Breakdown
Each row represents one day.
Columns Explained
Date & Week
Shows the calendar date and day of the week
Sec1 / Sec2 / Sec3 (OnDuty / OffDuty):
These columns show the actual punches captured by the clock.
Work Hours (Normal / Actual):
Work hours are calculated based on the shift sections that are defined as normal attendance.
- Normal hours: Expected hours based on the employee’s assigned shift sections where Sec type = 0.
- Actual hours: Hours calculated based on their recorded punches within those normal attendance sections.
Actual hours are calculated by validating punch pairs within each scheduled section. A section must have a complete in/out pair to be counted, and time is aligned to the scheduled section rather than totaled from raw punches.
OT Hours (Overtime)
OT hours are calculated based on the employee’s assigned shift sections that are defined as overtime (Sec type = 1).
Late Minutes and Leave Minutes
Late minutes and Leave minutes are calculated using the shift’s defined start and end times along with the applicable grace period rules.
- Late minutes: the number of minutes an employee clocks in after their scheduled start time.
- Leave minutes: the number of minutes an employee leaves before their scheduled end time (also referred to as early-out time).
Punch times are visually highlighted to show whether they fall within allowed timing rules:
- Blue punches indicate punches within the allowed grace period.
- Red punches indicate punches outside the allowed grace period and flag exceptions such as late arrivals or early departures.
For more information, see Set Grace Periods on the MK3000.
Holidays
Pre-set holidays are shown on the corresponding date in the timecard so you can quickly identify non-working days.
For more information on Holidays, see: Set Holidays for the MK3000.
