Delete a User from the MK3000
Deleting a user permanently removes them from the MK3000 time clock. If you need to retain an employee’s punch or time card history, update their End Date instead of deleting the user.
Important Notes
- If you want to keep employee punch and time card information, update the user’s End Date instead. See Edit a User in Excel for the MK3000 for instructions.
- Punch logs are not automatically deleted. If you reuse a proximity card or a user ID and password, the new user will inherit the punch logs of the previous user unless the punch log is cleared.
To delete a user from the MK3000:
- Press [Menu].
- Select User Mgt and press [OK].
- Select User view and press [OK].
- Select the user you wish to delete and press [OK].
- Select Del and press [OK].
- The time clock will prompt you with “Delete?” Press [OK].
- Press [ESC] repeatedly to exit the menus or allow the menus to time out.
