Program the FN1000 Quick Reference

This article provides a quick reference for accessing the programming mode on the FN1000 Time Clock. Watch the video below for a walkthrough of the basic programming steps.

Programming Overview

In normal operating mode, the IN and OUT buttons on the timeclock are used by the employees to track their time throughout each shift. In programming mode, these same buttons are also used in the setup of your time clock.

Navigating the Menus

Setup features of the time clock are grouped by menu options. The main menu options are numbered HN 1 through HN 5. Each menu has a series of sub-menus called codes, which are displayed in a smaller size at the bottom left on the clock display.

To access programming mode on the FN1000:

  1. Remove the cover using the included key. This exposes the setup labels that correspond with the IN and OUT buttons.
  2. Locate the Set switch.
  3. Move the Set switch to the "0" position (to the right).

Navigation Tips

  • When a code is flashing, you can make changes using the + and - buttons. Once you select the option you wish to set, push the Enter button.
  • Press Enter to confirm.
  • Press Enter to scroll through codes without changing settings.
  • The Back button allows reconfiguration of an option that was confirmed incorrectly.
  • The Mode button navigates directly to the next HN menu.
