Set an RFID Card for the MK3000

RFID card authentication allows employees and managers to punch in at the MK3000 using a proximity badge instead of entering a PIN or using biometrics. RFID cards can be assigned to a user either by using the User Setup spreadsheet or directly on the time clock.

This article walks you through both methods so you can choose the option that works best for your setup.

MK Series Compatible RFID Cards

  • The MK3000 uses 125 kHz RFID proximity cards.
  • uPunch MK Series RFID Proximity Badges are widely compatible and work with the uPunch MK1000, MK3000, MK5000, and other 125 kHz clocks.
  • Each user can be assigned one RFID card.
