Update the Print Color Options for the FN1000
The HN5 menu controls the time clock’s color print settings. By default, the device prints in black starting at midnight (12:00 AM). You can configure the clock to automatically switch between black and red at specific times and days.
This feature is often used to visually indicate early or late punches. For example, if employees are scheduled to punch in at 6:00 AM, you could program the clock to:
- Print black until 6:05 AM (on-time punches).
- Print red from 6:05 AM to 6:59 AM (late punches). After 7:00 AM, the clock would need to be programmed to return to black for the remainder of the shift.
You can set up to 24 color change times per week (codes 01–24). Additional color changes can be programmed for other shifts as long as scheduled times do not conflict.
