Prevent Duplicate Punches on the MK3000

The Re‑Verify setting on the MK3000 helps prevent accidental or intentional duplicate punches by requiring a minimum amount of time to pass between punches for the same user. This setting is commonly used to reduce missed punches caused by double‑tapping, badge re‑reads, or repeated biometric scans.

This article explains how to configure the Re‑Verify setting by defining the number of seconds that must elapse between punches on the MK3000 time clock.

To adjust the amount of time that must elapse between punches:

1. Press [Menu].
2. Scroll down once to select Shift and press [OK].
3. Select Atten rules and press [OK].
4. Select Re-Verify and press [OK].
5. Scroll down to Re verify and press [OK].
6. Enter the amount of time, in seconds, that must pass between punches (0–255) and press [OK].
7. When finished, press [ESC] once.
8. The time clock will prompt you with “Save?”, press [OK].
9. When finished, press [ESC] repeatedly to exit the menus or simply allow the menus to time out.
