Set Managers on the MK1000

To keep your clock settings secure, you can designate one or more employees as Managers. Managers have special privileges that allow them to access the clock menus and make changes. Regular users cannot access these menus when a manager is enrolled.

Important:

  • A manager must have a finger template, proximity badge, or password registered to be enrolled as a Manager on the clock.
  • Store the password in a safe place. If the password is lost and you don’t have access with a fingerprint or proximity badge, you will need to contact our support team to unlock your clock.
  • Only employees with Manager status can access the clock menu when a Manager (one or more) is enrolled on the clock.

Granting Manager Privilege

To change a User to a Manager:

  1. Press [Menu].
  2. Select User Mgt and press [OK].
  3. Select UserView and press [OK].

  5. Select Edit and press [OK].
  6. Select Privilege and press [OK].
  7. Select Manager and press [OK].
  8. Select [OK] to save.
  9. Press [ESC] repeatedly to exit the menus or simply allow the menus to time out.

Accessing the Menus as a Manager

Managers can access the menus of the time clock using their registered punch method.

  1. Press [Menu].
  2. The clock will display 'Manager?'
  3. Within 8 sec. do one of the following:
    • Touch finger to the sensor (if a fingerprint is registered)
    • Enter the Manager’s ID number and press [OK], then enter the Manager’s Password (if registered) and press [OK].
    • Swipe Proximity Badge (if a badge is registered)

If you need to add additional punch methods for a registered Manager, see Additional Punch Methods for Managers on the MK1000.
